Dr. Kalyn Kordes grew up in Ferdinand, IN and graduated from Forest Park Junior-Senior High School in 2012. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Indiana University in 2016 and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in May of 2020.

In her time outside the office, Dr. Kordes enjoys playing sand volleyball, days on the lake, and spending time with her family. She continues to reside in Ferdinand with her husband, Lynk.

Dr. Kordes has special interest in ocular disease as well as providing general comprehensive eye exams for all ages, including infants and toddlers. She looks forward to providing family eye care to you and your family for years to come.

Dr. Nancy Otte graduated from Jasper High School and then attended Indiana University graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree. She has practiced optometry in Jasper her entire career merging her practice with Dr. Tom Buechler in August 2006 to form Clay Street EyeCare.

Dr. Otte has been very active in the community having served on the Jasper Chamber of Commerce, Strassenfest Committee and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Dubois County. Indiana University is still a big part of her life as she not only cheers on the Hoosiers at games but is also active in the local alumni chapter and currently serves on IU's Athletic Committee. Dr. Otte really enjoys working with people and getting to know them over the years. After an accident in 2010 the support and help from many of her patients and friends helped her get back to work full time again.

In her spare time Dr. Otte enjoys outside activities, her dog Gracie and working out. She plans on helping her patients with their eye care and their eye wear for years to come.

Madi started working for Clay Street EyeCare in 2018 following her degree in Business Office Administration with a medical concentration. She works at the front desk as well as in the lab. Madi enjoys assisting patients on the phone and in the office with any questions they may have as well as frame repairs and adjustments. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Melanie began her career in the optical field in March of 1997 working for Dr. Otte. She has worked for Clay Street EyeCare since the practices merged in August of 2006. She enjoys assisting patients with frame selections, adjustments, and repairs. She and her husband, Greg, have 2 children. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her friends and family.

Marcia began her career in the optical field in 1997 working for Dr. Otte. She has worked for Clay Street EyeCare since the practices merged in 2006. Two days a week Marcia will be the first to greet you as you enter our office. She also enjoys the phone interaction with our patients as she makes appointments. Marcia and her husband Gary are lifelong residents of Jasper and do volunteer work for several organizations and their church. Marcia is also a part-time real estate agent with her husband. Her hobbies include crocheting, music and being a Corvette enthusiast.

Krista started working for Clay Street EyeCare in 2016. She will either greet you at the front desk or you will be able to find her in the lab. Krista enjoys interacting with the patients while they are in the office as well as scheduling appointments and assisting with frame selections and repairs. She and her husband, Matt, have two children and enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Jeanne works in our business office. She started working for Dr. Otte in 1996 and then came to Clay Street EyeCare in 2006. At CSE we do accept most insurance and will file these for you. If you have questions about your vision insurance call our office and ask for Jeanne. Jeanne and her husband, Bobby, have one daughter, Valerie. Jeanne loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Tracey started working for Clay Street EyeCare in 2019. She works at the front desk and will greet you as you enter the office. Tracey enjoys interacting with the patients, answering the phone and scheduling appointments. She and her husband, Dwyane, have been married since 1990, have one daughter, a son-in-law, and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, and listening to Dave Ramsey.

Lisa started working at Clay Street EyeCare in 2007. She graduated in 2008 from Indiana University with a degree in optometric technology and is certified by the American Board of Opticianry. Lisa enjoys assisting patients with frame selections, adjustments, and repairs. Lisa and her husband Brad have two children, Corbin and Layla. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering for IU!

Diane started working for Clay Street EyeCare in 2016. She had previously worked for Dr. Otte before leaving to start a family in 1989. She enjoys working with patients either at the front desk or helping them with their glasses. Diane and her husband, Charlie, live in Schnellville and have three children, Jeff, Janel and Luke. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking and working outdoors.

Marsha has been with Clay Street EyeCare since January of 2020. She works the front desk and enjoys greeting the people that come into the office. She and her husband, Don, have 2 sons and 1 granddaughter. Marsha enjoys cooking - especially trying new recipes, entertaining family and friends, reading, walking and traveling.
